Bulgaria topped the CEV European ranking list for U20 men. This became clear from the ranking published today.

As early as September 9, Ivaylo Chipev, a member of the Facebook group Bulgarian National Volleyball Fan Club since 2011, calculated that our team would be in first place.

The competitions that contribute points to the ranking are the two most recent editions of the European Championships. Therefore, the ranking points for each competition are retained in the list for a period of 4 years.
European ranking points are attributed to all competing national teams according to their final ranking in each applicable competition. All points are allocated only after the final completion of the respective competition.
The new ranking formula was approved by the CEV Board of Administration at the meeting in Berlin (Germany) on May 17, 2019.
According to the CEV Volleyball Competitions Regulations, Art. 25 §5, "When 2 or more national federations have the same number of points, these national federations are ranked according to their position in the last CEV EuroVolley and CEV European Championship edition for the age group where at least one of these national federations participated."
If the tie cannot be broken after this provision of the CEV Volleyball Competitions Regulations, the national federations with the same number of ranking points are shown and listed in alphabetical order.
