Former Montana receiver Samuil Valchinov, who is competing for the Italian Macerata this season, scored 10 points in the friendly match against Siena. Macerata competes in the second tier of the Italian volleyball championship, and Siena is a major opponent for first place in Serie A2.
Banca Macerata - Fisiomed started the training well and despite problems at the end of the set, managed to close it 25-23. Siena, however, responded immediately in the second part, which ended 21-25 for the visiting team. Macerata's coach Maurizio Castellano started to field some players from the bench, including Sami Valchinov. Macerata managed to close the third set with 25-20. In the fourth part, agreed upon by both coaches, the red-white team took to the court with the entire bench, which predetermined Siena's dominance with 25-15.
