The Bulgarian national volleyball team will start the 2026 season with participation in the strong friendly tournament "Silesia Cup" in Poland, and the program of the "Lions" in the competition is already clear.
The tournament will be held in two cities – Sosnowiec and Katowice, with four teams participating: host Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Ukraine. The competition will be played in a classic round-robin format, where each team meets the other three opponents.

📅 Bulgaria's Program
The Bulgarian team will start its participation on May 20 with a clash against Ukraine in Sosnowiec. After a day of rest, the squad moves to Katowice, where it will play two more matches:
May 20 (Sosnowiec):Bulgaria – Ukraine
May 22 (Katowice):Bulgaria – Serbia
May 23 (Katowice):Bulgaria – Poland
The program foresees two matches per day.
"Silesia Cup" will be the first step in preparation for the Nations League, where Poland will defend its title from last season. For all participants, the tournament will serve as a kind of form test and an opportunity to fine-tune their squads.
The main focus, however, remains on the upcoming European Championship, which is the No. 1 goal for the leading teams on the continent.
Tickets for the competition will go on sale at the end of April, with additional information about the event to be published on the official website of the Polish Volleyball Federation.
