Third victory for Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi in the Final Four, Martin Atanasov stable again

The Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi team recorded their third success in the Final Four of the Indonesian Proliga 2026, after defeating Surabaya Samator with a score of 3:0 (25:23, 25:21, 25:21). The victory appears decisive in terms of score, but the development of the individual sets showed serious resistance from the opponent.
The first set began with an advantage for Samator – 8:5, but Bhayangkara gradually equalized and took the lead at 20:18. An equalizer followed at 20:20, after which Bardia Saadat scored an ace for 22:20. At 22:22, the Iranian was once again on top form for 24:22, and the set concluded after an opponent's service error. Blocking was crucial – 3:1 in favor of Jakarta.
The second set started well for Bhayangkara, with Martin Atanasov already having 4 points in attack at 8:5. Samator turned the score to 13:11, but after 18:18, Jakarta took control – a block, an Atanasov pipe attack, and excellent defense tipped the scales for 25:21.
The third set proceeded evenly until 7:7. At 8:7, Saadat already had 11 points, and Atanasov – 8. Blocking once again proved decisive for leads of 15:11 and 16:13. A pipe attack from the Bulgarian for 17:13 provided reassurance, and at the end, Jakarta closed out the match after a run and a service error for the final 3:0.

Individual Performance

  • Bardia Saadat – 15 points (1 ace, 1 block)

  • Jordan Susanto – 12 points (2 aces, 1 block)

  • Martin Atanasov – 9 points (all from attack)

Atanasov played a crucial role in the second and third sets, distinguishing himself not only with his attack efficiency but also with stability in saving balls in defense during key moments.

Jakarta LavAni, where Georg Grozer plays, holds the first position with a perfect record so far, while Bhayangkara is steadily second. The 3-point difference means that the direct clash between the two teams will be decisive for the final standings. Samator and Garuda Jaya are significantly behind, and their chances for the final are minimal.

Final Four Regulations

The format is group-based, not eliminatory:

  • Each of the four teams plays against the others twice

  • Each team plays a total of 6 matches

  • Points:

    • 3:0 or 3:1 → 3 points

    • 3:2 → 2 points

    • 2:3 → 1 point

  • Ranking by points, in case of a tie – set and point ratio

  • The first two teams qualify for the final

  • Third and fourth play for bronze

This means that the matches already played are not final - there will be rematches that can change the standings.
