Ravenna successfully started the playoffs after defeating Aversa 3:1 (25:19, 25:17, 16:25, 25:19) in the first quarterfinal clash in the Italian Serie A2. The second match of the series is scheduled for April 15 in Campania.
The hosts were the more stable team in key moments. They completely controlled the first two sets, where they imposed a strong serve and effective block-defense play. In the third set, they allowed a slump and let Aversa get back into the match, but in the fourth, they raised their level again and closed out the match without unnecessary drama.

At the heart of the success was the trio Manuel Zlatanov, Hristiyan Dimitrov, and Samuil Valchinov.

Zlatanov finished with 19 points (+7), including 4 aces and 1 block, with a 44% attack efficiency. Dimitrov added 12 points (+2), 1 ace, and 1 block, with 45% in attack, while Valchinov contributed 13 points (+6), 1 block, and an excellent 48% in attack.

For the guests from Aversa, Tallone was the top scorer with 19 points, supported by Tiozzo with 10 and Benavidez with 13. Despite their efforts, the team could not match Ravenna's better organization and effectiveness in the decisive rallies.
