After the match, the Argentine middle blocker emphasized the importance of teamwork and the team's character, especially in the key moments of the first set, when Perugia managed to turn the tide.
Offensively, the team once again relied on the familiar trio of Ben Tara (13 points) – Semeniuk (11 points) – Plotnytskyi (12).
For Piacenza, the most prolific scorers were the two Cubans Simon (14 points) and Gutierrez (11 points).
In the other semifinal, the intrigue remains, as Civitanova took a 2-1 lead against Verona. In the third match, Lube's team achieved a dramatic 3:2 victory (22:25, 26:28, 25:22, 25:19, 15:12), led by 22 points from Aleksandar Nikolov.
Perugia is now awaiting its opponent in the final, while the outcome of the other series is yet to be determined.
