The team of Decospan Menen won the first Belgian Cup in its history, after defeating Maaseik with a score of 3:2(26:24,25:21,21:25,23:25,15:10) in the final, played in the "Sportpaleis" arena in Antwerp in front of nearly 10,000 spectators.

The team from West Flanders ended a streak of three consecutive lost finals, as this time they managed to withstand the opponent's pressure and triumph after a dramatic match. Menen took a 2:0 lead in sets, allowed an equalizer, but in the decisive tie-break, they made a strong start and closed out the match.

The atmosphere in "Sportpaleis" contributed to the spectacle, with the impressive crowd turning the final into a national-scale event – a rare phenomenon for volleyball in Belgium.

In the 2024/2025 season, the Belgian team also gained European experience, by eliminating CSKA Sofia in the Challenge Cup tournament after a dramatic 3:2(26:28,29:27,18:25,25:21,15:10) victory in Sofia and a 3:1 win at home.

Thus, Menen solidifies its rise, combining international experience with a historic trophy on the domestic scene.
