Bulgaria's opponents for the 2026 European U18 Championship have been revealed. The draw for the championship took place today, and the tournament will be held from July 7–18 in the Italian cities of Porto San Giorgio and Latina.
The Bulgarian national team, led by coach Miroslav Zhivkov, will compete in Group B, which will be played in Latina. The "Lion Cubs" were drawn into an extremely balanced and competitive group, where their opponents will be France, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Romania, and Netherlands.

In the other stream – Group A, which will take place in Porto San Giorgio, the draw brought together hosts Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Finland, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, and Iceland.
The competition's regulations anticipate strong competition right from the group stage.
Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the final four and the battle for medals. The remaining teams will be ranked according to their group standings, which will determine their final position in the tournament.
A significant challenge lies ahead for the Bulgarian team, but also an opportunity to establish itself among the leading academies in Europe at this age level.
