Representatives from 37 countries arrived at the CEV Coaches Convention in Sofia

After the successful Coaches' Convention in 2023, Bulgaria once again hosted volleyball coaches and physical education teachers from all over Europe. For the second consecutive year, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) entrusted our country and the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation with one of its most significant events in its calendar, the federation boasted.

More than 150 participants from 37 countries arrived especially for the event. Over two days (September 14-15), they will exchange ideas and gain experience from three world-renowned lecturers - Atsushi Kato (Japan), Kåre Mol (Norway), and Dr. Ranko Rajović (Serbia, with assistant lecturer Rok Tomazic). The three will share with participants their knowledge on how to attract children to play volleyball, how to keep them interested in and enjoying the game, what the differences are between a game manager and a development coach, as well as many other topics.

Participants in the Convention arrived on Friday at "Park Hotel Vitosha" in Sofia and were warmly welcomed by the BFV and the event organizers at a special evening event. Ms. Jedjung Jung, project manager of the CEV Coaches Convention, shared with those present more about the structure of the event and what they could expect from it.

The program began at 9:00 AM on Saturday with the theoretical part. Each lecturer has one hour to present their presentation. After a short lunch break, a practical part is planned, which will last until 6:30 PM. This year again, Sunday is planned for group exercises, including many discussions and, most importantly, the opportunity for participants to apply the knowledge gained from Saturday," the volleyball federation's announcement states.
