BFV visits clubs from Strandzha region, refereeing - a big problem!

Representatives from the federation visited Stara Zagora, where the successes and problems of our volleyball in the last mandate were discussed.

On September 12, a regional meeting of clubs from the Strandzha region took place in Stara Zagora, as learned byvolleyweek.bg. Guests included the Chairman of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BVF) - Lyubomir Ganev, Stanislav Nikolov, and David Davidov, as well as the head of the National Volleyball League (NVL) - Zhivko Zhelev. The president of the federation emphasized that next year (2025) we will participate in 6 World Championships. All three guests familiarized the clubs with the positive things done during the 4 years of management, as well as the mistakes identified during the period. The clubs expressed the biggest problem they have been facing for many years - refereeing. It turned out that in the Strandzha region, it is difficult to find referees for matches and tournaments. Students are forced to officiate, which is not correct. The management of the BVF committed to fixing this problem. It is important to remember that many clubs from the Strandzha region specifically requested an extraordinary General Assembly some time ago, but representatives of the elite Burgas clubs - "Neftochimik" and "Deya Volley" - were not present at the meeting.
