A special guest attracted attention during the Champions League quarter-final second leg between Perugia and Las Palmas. Niccolò Filippucci, winner of the latest edition of the Sanremo Festival and a former player from the academy of the Italian giant, appeared in the stands of Pala Barton.
His visit was not accidental. Filippucci returned to his hometown crowd just months after winning the 76th edition of Italy's most prestigious music forum in the 'New Proposals' category with the song 'Laguna'.
Before the match, club president Gino Sirci presented him with a symbolic gift – a volleyball signed by the entire team, emphasizing the artist's connection to Perugia.
Before turning to music, Filippucci went through Perugia's youth formations, where he spent about two years. There is no information about his progression to the senior squad or a professional career, but his experience in an organized club environment remains part of his biography.
The triumph at Sanremo became a key moment for the young artist. Following the success with 'Laguna', he has already released a new single – 'Tutte le ragazze vogliono canzoni d'amore', which precedes the release of his debut album 'Un posto dove andare'.
His schedule also includes a promotional tour in Italy, as well as his first major live concert in Milan.
During the Champions League match, Filippucci watched the game from the stands, this time in the role of a fan.
It was a very nice match, which I experienced as a fan, even with a little tension. I'm glad I came back and felt the atmosphere again, he shares.

His return to Perugia combined two different sides of his career – the beginning in the volleyball academy and his present on one of Italy's biggest music stages.
