Giovanni Guidetti's VakıfBank qualified for the Sultanlar Ligi final in Turkey after dramatically defeating Eczacıbaşı Dynavit 3:2 (25:14, 29:31, 22:25, 25:22, 15:13) in the second match of the semi-final series, closing out the tie with a 2-0 victory.
The match in Istanbul offered everything – comebacks, long sets, and a battle to the last point, lasting a full 157 minutes.
The top scorer in the match was Tijana Bošković, who scored 30 points against her former team and once again showed her class in decisive moments.

Russian opposite Marina Markova added 27 points, while middle blocker Zehra Güneş contributed 13 points.
VakıfBank started convincingly and won the first set with a decisive 25:14. In the second set,Eczacıbaşı Dynavitresponded with character and dramatically snatched a 31:29 win. A new strong moment followed for the hosts, who took a 2:1 lead after 25:22.
The fourth set proved crucial – at 18:18 VakıfBank made a 3:0 run, took the initiative, and equalized after 25:22. In the tie-break, Guidetti's team started excellently (4:0) and managed to hold onto the lead until the final 15:13.
Thus, VakıfBank secured a place in the final, where they will face Fenerbahçe Medicana, led by Marcello Abbondanza. The clash pits the current and former head coaches of Bulgaria against each other, which adds extra intensity to the series.
An interesting detail is that the two specialists will meet again very soon at the national level – Bulgaria will play against Canada in the Volleyball Nations League, where Giovanni Guidetti is precisely at the helm of the Canadians.
With this success, VakıfBank recorded its 19th consecutive victory in all tournaments, solidifying its dominance throughout the season. The team is in the final for the sixth time in the last eight years in the Turkish championship.
Expectations are for an extremely evenly matched final series, in which the tactical battle between Abbondanza and Guidetti will be just as important as the performance of the stars on the court.
