Borislav Kyosev, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BVF) and founder of VC "Marek" Dupnitsa, refuted the information that volleyball in the city would cease to exist. "D-Day has not passed, it is yet to come!" he shared exclusively withvolleyweek.bgKyosev. "We are currently in the final stretch of completing all the necessary documentation that we will submit to the federation. This includes an official note from the old club 'Marek Union Ivkoni' stating that they have no financial claims and that they are transferring the rights of the players to the new municipal club. The folder with documents will be reviewed by Pencho Angelov at the federation, and there will be an on-site inspection to ensure that all requirements are met," Kyosev explained the procedure. "After that, the report from the inspection will be included in the agenda of the next Board of Directors meeting, which is expected to be around September 20th. If the club receives a license, Kyosev will have the right to vote at the accountability and election assembly of the federation on September 28th," sources familiar with the BVF statute specify. It is unclear how the problem with the missed deadline for "Marek's" registration for the upcoming youth championship, which expired on September 5th, will be resolved. It is not excluded that the children of Dupnitsa may participate in the upcoming championship in the place of other clubs that have declared their presence but will not send their representatives in certain age groups.
