The Lokomotiv (Novosibirsk) player scored 186 points in 30 matches, which is the highest achievement among volleyball players in this position this season.
Shortly after the end of the regular season, another volleyball player with Bulgarian roots was among the record holders. Gazprom-Yugra's setter Slavi Kostadinov set a new record for aces in the Russian Super League, having scored 77 direct points from serve. He thus improved the previous record held by Dmitry Muserskiy, who had 75 aces in the 2014/2015 season.
