For the second time in the last 14 years, Bulgaria reached second place at the U20 Men's European Volleyball Championship, and three Bulgarian national players were among the best at the championship. Head coach Miroslav Zhivkov's selection won silver medals after a final against world champion France, in which they lost 1:3.
The captain of the Bulgarian team, Simeon Nikolov, was chosen as the best setter of the championship.

Alexander Kandev received an award as one of the two best receivers,

and Stiliyan Delibosov was honored among the middle blockers.

The most valuable player of the championship was named French setter Amir Tizi-Oualou.
The President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation, Lyubomir Ganev, who is also a board member of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), participated in the award ceremony at the "Vlade Divac" hall in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia.
