The strong trio of Dimitrov-Vulchinov-Zlatanov was not enough for Ravena to win

Ravenna suffered a 1:3 (23:25, 21:25, 25:17, 20:25) defeat in their away match against Brescia in a direct clash from the 21st round of Italy's Serie A2, where the strong serve of the hosts proved decisive. The Brescia team scored 11 aces, which tipped the scales and brought an important victory, allowing the hosts to overtake Ravenna in the standings.

Despite the solid performance of the trio Dimitrov–Valchinov–Zlatanov, Ravenna failed to secure points. Bulgarian internationals Hristiyan Dimitrov and Samuil Valchinov were among the most effective for the team, and Manuel Zlatanov, grandson of the legend Dimitar Zlatanov, also made a strong contribution.

Dimitrov finished with 14 points (+3), including 1 ace and 1 block, with 49% attack efficiency.
Valchinov added 13 points (-1), distinguishing himself with 4 blocks and a 45% attack success rate.
Manuel Zlatanov was Ravenna's top scorer with 16 points (-2), 2 blocks, and a 56% attack success rate.

Although the visitors had an advantage in blocking (12 vs. 6), reception issues and a lack of sufficient pressure from the serve allowed Brescia to control the decisive moments in the three sets they won.

The victory allowed Brescia to climb to third place with 42 points, surpassing Ravenna, who remains fourth with 41 points. The battle for the top spots in Serie A2 remains extremely fierce, with only a four-point difference between the second and fourth teams. This makes the upcoming rounds crucial for the standings before the playoffs.
