Halkbank dominates the derby against Fenerbahce

Halkbank decisively defeated Fenerbahçe Medicana with a 3:0 score (25:23, 27:25, 25:20) in a match from the 21st round of the Turkish SMS Grup Efeler Ligi. The clash in the TVF "Ziraat Bankkart" hall lasted 1 hour and 35 minutes and solidified the strong run of Radostin Stoychev's team.

The first two sets were played under significant tension. In the opening set, Halkbank showed greater stability in the finishing phase and closed it at 25:23. The second set was the most dramatic – Fenerbahçe had its chances, but the hosts endured in the long rallies and won 27:25.

In the third set, Halkbank's class came to the fore. Higher attack efficiency and better block-defense organization brought a comfortable 25:20 and the final 3:0.

Yoandy Leal was the top scorer for the winners with 15 points, while Marek Šotola added 14. Matey Kaziyski contributed 11 points (1 ace, 1 block), playing an important role in the team's balance.

For Fenerbahçe, Adis Lagumdzija scored 16 points, and Earvin Ngapeth finished with 11, but their efforts were not enough to break through against the stable hosts.

Tsvetan Sokolov did not participate in the match.

In the upcoming 22nd round, Halkbank will visit Gebze Belediyespor on March 1st at 2:00 PM. The derby victory shows that the team is entering the decisive phase of the season in optimal form.
