Dynamo lost the "Bulgarian" derby against Steaua in Romania, Grozdanov with 9 points

Dinamo lost to their big rival Steaua with a score of 0:3 (16:25, 20:25, 25:27) in the Romanian championship derby, which lasted 96 minutes. The match was marked by the significant presence of Bulgarian players, with Branimir Grozdanov (Dinamo) and Krasimir Georgiev (Steaua) taking part, while Svetoslav Ivanov did not feature in the game.

Branimir Grozdanov finished with 9 points (+4) and was among the top scorers for his team. The Bulgarian outside hitter actively participated in attack, but Dinamo generally had reception problems and failed to unleash their attacking potential. In the third set, the hosts showed character and reached a 24:24 tie, but in the decisive moments, Steaua asserted their will.

Dinamo started the first set well and took a 12:8 lead, but a series of strong serves from the opponent turned the tide. By the end, the visitors dominated and closed out the match without dropping a set to the champion.

Krasimir Georgiev contributed 3 points (+1) for the winners and had stable performances at the net. However, the main attacking burden for Steaua fell on Alex Rata, who scored 24 points and was named the most valuable player of the match.

Svetoslav Ivanov did not take part in the match.

With this win, Steaua cemented their first place in the standings and demonstrated serious ambition for the title. Dinamo, on the other hand, continues their shaky run and remains outside the top three, which is a serious concern for the champion.
