Italy triumphed with the title at the U17 Men's World Championship in Sofia. Italy won the battle against Argentina 3:2 (23:25, 17:25, 25:22, 33:31, 15:9). The match was extremely thrilling. The Italians led 18:11 in the first set and lost. In the fourth, Argentina had three match points but failed to win them. In the tie-break, Italy won decisively. Manuel Zlatanov, grandson of our legend Dimitar Zlatanov, who was in the hall, had a great performance for the "Squadra Azzurra". The final was officiated by one of the best Bulgarian referees, Atanas Varbanov.

In the third-place match, Chinese Taipei also won 3:2 (25:17, 16:25, 25:23, 21:25, 15:12) against Spain.

Bulgaria is the only country in the world that will host three major forums in 2024 – two European and one World Championship.
