From a team with a Bulgarian to a team with a Bulgarian: Eno, Luengas and Falaschi change clubs

The European volleyball market is starting to move seriously, and two of the emerging deals for the 2026/2027 season have a clear Bulgarian accent. The interesting thing is that in both cases, it's about a peculiar shuffle "from a team with a Bulgarian "to a team with a Bulgarian".
Polish journalist Jakub Balcerzak, who closely follows the transfer market in PlusLiga, revealed information about the future of Hillir Eno and Ignacio Luengas.

Hillir Eno: from Lublin with Alex Grozdanov to Padua with Boris Nachev

According to Balcerzak, French outside hitter Hillir Eno will continue his career in the Italian SuperLega, where he will wear the Padua jersey during the 2026/2027 season.

Currently, Eno plays for Bogdanka LUK Lublin, where his teammate is the captain of the Bulgarian national team, Alex Grozdanov. The Frenchman established himself as an important figure in the Polish champion's squad, but the increased competition for the outside hitter position clearly opens up a transfer opportunity.

In Padua, he will reunite with young Bulgarian talent Boris Nachev. Thus, the transfer fits into an interesting trend – from a locker room with a Bulgarian national player in Poland to a new Bulgarian connection in Italy.

Ignacio Luengas: from Tourcoing with Venislav Antov to Slepsk with Asparuh Asparuhov

Argentinian national player Ignacio Luengas, who turned 30 at the end of January, will become part of Slepsk Malow Suwałki during the 2026/2027 season.

The outside hitter currently defends the colors of Tourcoing in the French Ligue A, where he shares the court with Bulgarian opposite hitter Venislav Antov. Luengas is a player with serious physical parameters, solid experience, and a presence in the Argentinian national team.

In Suwałki, he will find himself in a new environment with a Bulgarian presence – Asparuh Asparuhov is among the leading figures in the Polish club's squad. Thus, here too we have an identical pattern – from a team with a Bulgarian to a new team with a Bulgarian.

Third line of movement: from Grottazzolina with Petkov and Tatarov to Lube with the Nikolov brothers

The transfer wave with Bulgarian involvement also gains a third dimension. According to information fromivolleymagazine.it, Lube Civitanova is working on attracting experienced setter Marco Falaschi, who wore the Grottazzolina jersey during the season.

This practically means a third shuffle "from a team with Bulgarians ","to a team with Bulgarians".

Last season, Bulgarian national players Iliya Petkov and Georgi Tatarov played in Grottazzolina, while Aleksandar Nikolov is already in Civitanova, and the club has the ambition to bring his brother Simeon Nikolov to join him. Thus, Falaschi's potential transfer would fit into the same trend outlined for Hillir Eno and Ignacio Luengas – movement between teams with a clear Bulgarian presence.
