Asparuh Asparuhov remains at Ślepsk and will be among the leaders in the 2026/2027 season as well

Bulgarian national player Asparuh Asparuhov extends his contract with Ślepsk Malow Suwałki and will be one of the key figures in the team for the 2026/2027 season. This was officially confirmed during a special press conference at the Suwałki Arena hall, where the club presented key strategic decisions for the future.

Parting ways with the coach and changes in the club

Club president Wojciech Winnik announced that after more than four years at the helm of the team, Dominik Kwapiszewicz is leaving, with his contract expiring in May 2026 and terminated by mutual agreement. The coach also spoke, describing his stay in Suwałki as an extremely important stage in his development.

The city 's mayor, Czesław Renkiewicz, emphasized that Kwapiszewicz will go down in history as Ślepsk 's longest-serving coach in the PlusLiga.

The name of the new head coach has not yet been announced, as last-minute legal obstacles from another club thwarted the planned presentation.

Clear core for the 2026/2027 season

Despite the changes, the club maintains stability in its staff – contracts for the next year include statistician Mateusz Janik, physiotherapist Aleksandra Słotwińska, strength and conditioning coach Jakub Gniado, and assistant coach Mateusz Kuśmierz.

A key piece of news for the fans is also the contract extension of captain Bartosz Filipiak, who signed for the 2026/2027 season and will begin his fifth year in Suwałki.

Also continuing are both liberos – Jakub Kubacki and Bartosz Mariański.

The sponsor Malow set a clear goal for the team – qualification for the playoffs, promising a special business award upon achievement of the task.
