Zhelev and Karyagin with strong performances in the away loss to Porto Viro

Alva Inox 2 Emme Service Porto Viro continued their strong run and achieved their fourth consecutive victory in Serie A2, after coming from behind to defeat Banca Macerata Fisiomed 3:1 (22:25, 25:19, 25:17, 25:18).

For the visiting team, the two Bulgarian internationals stood out most prominently. Rusi Zhelev was among the top scorers in the match with 16 points, also registering crucial blocks at key moments (3 blocks). His presence at the net gave Macerata momentum in the first set, when the team started more convincingly.

Denis Karyagin also made a significant contribution, finishing with 10 points, including an ace early on that helped the visitors set the pace. In the subsequent sets, however, Porto Viro stabilized their reception and limited the effectiveness of diagonal attacks.

After winning the first set, Macerata failed to withstand the pressure. The hosts dominated with better block organization and more saved balls in defense, which gradually broke the resistance of Zhelev and Karyagin.
