The most prominent and experienced Bulgarian volleyball player, Elitsa Vasileva-Atanasijević, has concluded her maternity leave and will resume her sports career. After becoming parents to baby Teo last November with her husband, Serbian volleyball superstar Aleksandar Atanasijević, the former captain of the "Lionesses" will join Turkish giants Fenerbahçe Istanbul for the new season, where she will be teammates with another experienced Bulgarian player, Hristina Vuchkova.

Elitsa's last club was another grand volleyball team – Russia's Dinamo Moscow.

It is important to note that Turkey is not a new volleyball destination for Vasileva, as she has also played for another Istanbul giant in her career – Vakıfbank.
