Nikolay Ivanov with a key contribution to Cantu's fourth victory

Kampi Reali Cantù made an impressive comeback from 0:2 to 3:2 against Emma Villas Aubay Siena and after more than two hours of play celebrated a 3:2 victory (23:25, 26:28, 25:21, 25:20, 15:13).

At the heart of the success was the strong performance of Nikolay Ivanov, who finished with 12 points, +5 efficiency, 2 blocks, 55% positive reception, and 53% attack efficiency. The Bulgarian provided stability in key moments, including a crucial block in the fourth set when Cantù equalized and started pushing for the complete comeback.

The top scorer for the hosts was Gaetano Penna with 22 points, while Nicola Candeli earned MVP status with 16 points and impressive attack efficiency. For Siena, Leonardo Rocca scored 22 points, and Luigi Randazzo added 19, but despite this, the Tuscans could not hold onto their lead.

Siena tried to compensate for their problems with strong blocking (16 points from blocks), but Cantù found their rhythm in attack after the second set and gradually turned the tide. In the tie-break, the hosts showed stronger nerves and closed out the match after a decisive attack by Candeli for 15:13.
Despite their fourth victory, Cantù are last with 10 points.
