Bulgarian outside hitter Denislav Bardarov will continue his career in Turkey and will finish the current season with the İBB Spor Kulübü team, despite emerging transfer rumors linking him to the South Korean Busan OK Savings Bank OKman.
The information about a potential transfer to South Korea was sparked by the search for a replacement for Dimitar Dimitrov, should he leave the club, but ultimately such a move will not materialize. Bardarov indeed received an offer from the Korean club, but it was short-term – for about a month and a half – which tipped the scales in favor of him staying in Turkey.
His decision is dictated both by the sports and technical conditions in his current team and by İBB's long-term plans. The Turkish club has ambitions to build a stronger and more competitive squad next season, and discussions are already underway between the two parties for a potential continuation of their cooperation through the 2026/27 season.
Bardarov, who is 200 cm tall and plays as an outside hitter, has accumulated significant international experience with his performances in Bulgaria, Italy, and Turkey. In recent years, he has established himself as a consistent performer with a good balance between attack and reception play, which makes him a valuable asset in any team he competes for.
On a personal level, the volleyball player has a clear goal: to show even better athletic form and development in his game during the summer period, with the ambition to be among those called up to the men's national team of Bulgaria and establish himself as a real option for the selector.
