DEAC took another extremely important step towards achieving its main goal, after defeating Prestige Fitness Pénzügyőr SE with a 3:0 (25:23, 25:23, 25:21) victory in a regular season match of the TippmixPro Férfi NB I Extraliga. The success holds particular weight, as from next season the Extraliga will consist of only six teams, and the current standings will determine which teams will remain in the elite.
One of DEAC's most consistent and valuable players was again the Bulgarian receiver Ivan Tasev. He finished the match with 10 points, +3 efficiency, and 1 ace, making a significant contribution in reception as well – 58% positive and 35% perfect reception. In attack, Tasev recorded 53% success, scoring important points in key moments of the first and second sets when the score was going point for point.

The Debrecen team imposed control over the match with strong serving and good defensive organization, which did not allow Prestige Fitness Pénzügyőr SE to find a consistent rhythm. In the third set, the visitors made a series of tactical and lineup errors, which DEAC capitalized on to close the match without unnecessary pressure.
With this success, DEAC recorded its seventh consecutive victory and solidified its place in the top 6 of the standings, which currently means a real step towards remaining in the elite next season under the new, highly restricted championship format.
| Position | Team | Matches | Wins | Losses | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Chemist RC Kazincbarcika | 16 | 14 | 2 | 42 |
| 2 | Fino Kaposvár | 14 | 13 | 1 | 39 |
| 3 | Prestige Fitness Pénzügyőr SE | 15 | 12 | 3 | 34 |
| 4 | MÁV Forward Foxconn | 11 | 11 | 0 | 33 |
| 5 | MAFC | 16 | 9 | 7 | 30 |
| 6 | DEAC | 16 | 10 | 6 | 29 |
The difference between third and sixth place is only five points, which makes every victory with maximum points golden. A 3:0 success against a direct competitor like Prestige Fitness Pénzügyőr SE not only brings three points but also improves the set ratio – a key indicator in case of a tie. In this context, Ivan Tasev's stability in reception and his effectiveness in attack become a strategic factor for DEAC in the fight to remain among the six teams that will form the elite from next season.
