Bardarov stable, but IBB with tenth loss in Efeler Ligi

Bulgarian outside hitter Denis Bardarov was once again among the few bright spots for Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor, but despite his stable performance, IBB recorded their tenth loss of the season. The capital team lost at home to ON Hotels Alanya Bld. Spor 3:0 (25:22, 25:18, 25:17) in a match from the 16th round of the SMS Grup Efeler Ligi and dropped to eighth position in the standings with 20 points, which further intensifies the pressure around the playoff battle.

The match, played in the "IBB Cebeci Sports Complex" hall, was dictated by the visitors from Alanya, who were the more stable team in all three sets. ON Hotels Alanya Bld. Spor imposed a higher tempo in attack and better organization in block and defense, which proved decisive for the final outcome.

The 3:0 (25:22, 25:18, 25:17) victory brought the Alanya team extremely valuable three points in the battle to remain in the elite league. This was their fifth win of the season, with which the team increased its total to 18 points and took a significant step above the relegation zone.

The defeat, however, was the tenth for IBB, which sent the team to eighth place in the provisional standings with 20 points.

For the winners, Bardia Saadat and Batuhan Avcı scored 15 points each, while Abdullah Çam added 14 and also played a key role in the success.

In the ranks of Istanbul BB, Denis Bardarov was the top scorer, who despite the loss showed a solid individual level.

Denis Bardarov's Statistics

Metric Value
Points 12
Efficiency +5
Attack success rate 40%
Attack efficiency 33%

The statistics clearly show that Bardarov maintained a good level of attack efficiency and was among IBB's most reliable scorers. Nevertheless, the lack of sufficient support from the other attackers and fluctuations in reception and defense did not allow the capital team to truly counter Alanya's better-organized squad.
