Lube Civitanova continues to seek a solution for its squad after Poriya's departure, and the situation on the transfer market remains complex and dynamic. This became clear from an interview given by Beppe Cormio, general director of Lube Civitanova, forIl Resto del Carlino(Macerata edition), quoted byivolleymagazine.it,in which he commented on the club's transfer situation and specifically several current topics regarding player selection.
The management of the "Biancorossi" has already made contact with about ten volleyball players, but there is still no deal. The reason, however, is not financial. According to Cormio, the problem stems from the fact that any club that has to part with a key player during the season is forced to simultaneously look for a replacement, which significantly complicates negotiations.
Lube is keen not to change its playing model and for now does not plan a classic transfer of a top-level opposite hitter. Cormio categorically denies the possibility of Yuri Romanò arriving at Lube. The club continues to rely on a system with three outside hitters/receivers, and the young opposite hitter Tonkono (2007), who is having a very strong season in Serie A2 with Fano, is also being considered as an internal option.

Nevertheless, the search for an experienced attacking player has not stopped. Lube was already close to signing a Polish volleyball player competing in Qatar, but a shoulder injury scuttled the almost finalized deal. Since then, the sports-technical staff has been making new assessments and monitoring the market daily.
From our perspective, we cannot help but mention one name we would very much like to see in Civitanova – Dimitar Dimitrov. The Bulgarian opposite hitter, who currently plays in the Republic of Korea, is rumored in Italy as an option for the newcomer Grottazzolina, but at this moment there is no official information about a signed contract. However, his connection to Lube remains solely in the realm of our wishes and speculations, without confirmation from the club or the player's agent.
It is a fact that Dimitrov's profile – physically strong, with a good serve and a stable attack against an organized block – would fit the ambitions of a team like Lube, especially in a period where every decision must be precise and without risk to the squad's balance.
For now, however, the reality is clear:
Lube continues to search, time is advancing, and the in-season market does not forgive mistakes. Whether it will lead to an internal solution, an unexpected transfer, or a compromise option – we are yet to find out.
