His power in attack and his stable presence on the block proved decisive, especially in the third and fourth sets, won by Kifisias in extensions, when the hosts showed stronger mentality.

From a Bulgarian perspective, the performance ofSvetoslav Stankov. The setter finished the match with2 points, one coming from an attack and the other from a block. It was Stankov who also brought the match point in the fourth set after a won battle at the net, which highlighted his contribution in the most tense moment of the match.
