National team coach Miroslav Zhivkov will rely on the same squad for the U20 Men's European Volleyball Championship in Serbia and Greece, which won the Balkan Championship title in Vrnjačka Banja a few days ago. The team left for the Greek city of Arta early this morning by bus, and the championship will take place from August 26 to September 7.

Bulgaria is in Group II and will face the Czech Republic, Israel, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Scotland, and the group host Greece. According to the regulations, 16 teams participate, divided into two groups of eight teams. They will play in a "round-robin" system, and the top two teams will advance to the semifinals.
