The Bulgarian national women's U18 team secured a spot in the final of the European qualification, which is being held in Sofia. In Hristo Botev Hall, coach Atanas Petrov's girls played a dominant match and crushed Romania with3:0 (25:16, 25:19, 25:15)in just66 minutesof play. In the fight for the trophy, the Bulgarians will await the winner of the match between Turkey and Montenegro.
In all three sets, the national team players quickly built a comfortable lead even before the first technical timeouts, which allowed them to control the tempo until the end. The third set was particularly telling, where the difference became double-digits at 16:7, and Romania found no answer to either the aggressive serve or the solid Bulgarian defense.
