A volleyball TV channel will be launched in Russia, according to publications in the local press. On August 19, Roskomnadzor issued a broadcasting license for the "Volleyball" TV channel. In the "Program Concept" section of the channel's card on the Roskomnadzor website, it is stated that its content will include broadcasts and special reports on sports tournaments, informational and analytical programs about sporting events.
In addition, "Volleyball" will feature educational and entertainment programs, fiction and documentary films, talk shows, and programs dedicated to current issues and achievements in the world of sports.
Irina Zolotova, Development Director of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation, said she would be the general producer of the TV channel.
The founder of the TV channel is Volleyball Media LLC. It was registered on January 12, 2024, in Moscow. The position of general director of the company is held by Dmitry Akimov, and the sole founder is the All-Russian Volleyball Federation.
