Without particular hesitation, Numia Vero Volley Milano dominated their home match against Serbian champions OK Železničar Lajkovac with a 3:0 set score – 3:0(25:16,25:16,29:27) – securing the full points tally in Group C of the CEV Champions League. The Italian team solidified their first place, even though head coach Stefano Lavarini rested some of the starters.
The Bulgarians in the Lajkovac squad had sporadic appearances.
Emileta Racheva entered the game in the first two sets and finished with 3 points from attack.

Lora Kitipova appeared in the second and third sets, serving 5 times and recording one unsuccessful attack.

The first two sets were dictated by Milan, who controlled the serve and block, and the class difference was clear – 25:16 and 25:16. In the third set, the Serbians showed greater aggression and managed to challenge the favorite, but in the crucial rallies, the hosts' experience prevailed – 29:27.
For Milan, the main attacking load was carried by Vita Akimova and Elena Pietrini – with 14 points each. Akimova became the MVP of the match.

Paola Egonu appeared only briefly in the third set and scored one point from attack.
In the Lajkovac squad, Milica Živanović was the most productive with 11 points, but overall, the Serbian champions failed to pose a serious threat. The team remains without a win after four rounds.
Group Standings
| Team | Wins | Losses | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vero Volley Milano | 3 | 1 | 9 |
| Eczacıbaşı | 2 | 1 | 6 |
| Olympiacos | 2 | 1 | 6 |
| Železničar Lajkovac | 0 | 4 | 0 |
The table clearly shows the stratification in the group. Milan is a stable leader with three wins, while Lajkovac practically has no real chances of advancing. The upcoming matches against Eczacıbaşı and Olympiacos will be more about prestige for the Serbian team than decisive in terms of qualification.
