Bulgaria achieved its second victory in the European U18 Women's qualification, after defeating Montenegro 3:1 (21:25, 25:15, 25:23, 25:9) in "Hristo Botev" Hall. Thus, Atanas Petrov's girls qualified for the tournament's semifinals.
The match turned out to be significantly more challenging than the opening one against Kosovo, with our girls having to show character in the third set. After an even start, Bulgaria fell behind and lost the first set, but in the second set, they established complete dominance – strong blocking, fewer errors, and a convincing 25:15.
The third set proved decisive. After trailing 10:16, the Bulgarians went on a strong run, equalized, and showed stronger nerves in key moments to close the set 25:23. After winning this set, the initiative was entirely on the hosts' side. In the fourth set, Bulgaria gave a true masterclass, took an early lead, and closed the match effortlessly at 25:9.

Tomorrow, the national team players will play their third group match against Greece, who defeated Kosovo 3:0. The match is once again in "Hristo Botev" Hall and starts at 5:30 PM.
