"Bulgarian son-in-law" Atanasijevic brought the Super Cup to Olympiacos after an epic comeback

With an epic comeback and the decisive role of "Bulgarian son-in-law" Aleksandar Atanasijević, Olympiacos won their second trophy of the season – the Greek Super Cup. The Serbian opposite hitter, married to the captain of the Bulgarian national team Elitsa Vasileva, once again lived up to his nickname and led the "red-whites" to a historic turnaround against Panathinaikos.

Olympiacos secured a 3:2 sets victory (20:25, 15:25, 25:17, 26:24, 15:9), after trailing 0:2. A key moment was the entry of Anestis Dalakouras in the second set, which stabilized the defense and gave new impetus to the team. From that point on, Atanasijević's performance began – 25 points, 5 aces, and leadership in the most crucial moments.

Panathinaikos squandered the match after a strong start and once again showed psychological issues under pressure. In the tie-break, Olympiacos was merciless, and the "Bulgarian son-in-law" ended the dispute with a powerful attack.

Thus, Olympiacos celebrated their fourth Super Cup in history and achieved 2 out of 2 in domestic tournaments this season, with Atanasijević once again proving to be the great leader in decisive battles.
