Indonesian volleyball club Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi created a huge stir after announcing that 2024 Paris Olympic Games gold medalist and MVP Earvin Ngapeth, along with silver medalist Bartosz Kurek, will play for them at the 2024 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship in Yazd, Iran.

This prompted a swift reaction from Kurek's agent, along with representatives of the Kędzierzyn-Koźle club, who denied that the Polish volleyball star would play in the Asian Club Championship. There has been no reaction from Ngapeth yet.
