The Bulgarian national volleyball team for boys under 17 lost to Iran in a control match in Sofia.

In "Levski Sofia" hall, the Bulgarian team lost 2:3 (21:25, 25:21, 28:26, 19:25, 10:15) sets. The match was the second for the nationals in the friendly tournament, which also includes Italy and Brazil. In their first match, Bulgaria defeated Brazil. Today at 5:00 PM is the match against the Italians, who currently have two victories.

All volleyball players available to head coach Teodor Bogdanov participated in the match against Iran. The most points for Bulgaria were scored by Petar Gospodarski with 17 points, and Filip Marinski added another 11.

The friendly tournament is held behind closed doors. It is part of the preparation for the upcoming U17 World Championship in Sofia from August 24 to 31.
