The semi-final for the TAURON Polish Cup in Krakow did not live up to expectations for a long battle. Asseco Resovia Rzeszów defeated PGE Projekt Warszawa 3:0 (25:21, 25:22, 25:22) and qualified for the final, where coach Massimo Botti will face a well-known opponent – Bogdanka LUK Lublin, led to the championship title by himself last season.

Resovia made the difference with strong serves and more stable play at the end of each set. The team from Warsaw once again failed to hold up psychologically in crucial moments and were eliminated in the semi-finals for the third consecutive year.

The big intrigue is yet to come. For Massimo Botti, the final will not just be a battle for a trophy, but a clash with his former team, which he turned into the Polish champion a year ago. Now the Italian specialist has a chance to stop his successors and bring the long-awaited trophy to Resovia – the club's first since 1987. The final is tomorrow at 15:45, Bulgarian time.
