Bulgarian participation was also key. Middle blocker Nikolay Kolev played a strong match for PAOK and finished with 11 points, an efficiency of +9, 1 ace, and 5 blocks, making a crucial contribution in the first and fifth sets. His stability at the net helped the "Two-Headed Eagles" withstand Olympiacos' pressure and establish superiority in key moments. The other Bulgarian, Nikolay Kırtev, was not in the squad for the match.

For Olympiacos, the top scorer was Bulgarian son-in-law Alex Atanasijevic with 28 points, while former German international Christian Fromm added 21, but the hosts lost rhythm at the end and suffered their fourth loss of the season. This victory is PAOK's third consecutive 3:2 win over Olympiacos in the championship and strengthens the team's ambitions to contend for the title.
