Saint-Nazaire with a clean victory over Chaumont of Silvano Prandi before the "Bulgarian" derby with Tourcoing

Saint-Nazaire recorded an extremely valuable away win against Chaumont, thereby overtaking Silvano Prandi's team in the standings of the French Marmara SpikeLigue. The Nazairiens are now 12th with six victories, after decisively winning 0:3 (22:25, 18:25, 20:25).

The visitors controlled the match from the first to the last set, dominating both in attack and defense. The great hero for SNVBA was the opposite hitter and German national player Philipp John, who played a brilliant match. He finished the encounter with 19 points, to which he added 2 aces, becoming the main factor for the success.

Saint-Nazaire's new libero – Carisio – also made a strong impression, starting as a starter for the first time and stabilizing the reception game with a significant number of saved balls in defense.

From Chaumont's side, the picture was much bleaker – only one of the home team's players managed to reach a double-digit point total, which clearly shows the team's difficulties in attack.
Bulgarian national player Vladimir Garkov did not take part in the match.

In the next round, Saint-Nazaire will be involved in a "Bulgarian" derby – on January 10, the team visits Tourcoing, where national player Venislav Antov plays. The match is anticipated with additional interest precisely because of the Bulgarian presence on both sides of the net, involving two former teammates from Levski.
