Zenit Kazan defeated Lokomotiv Novosibirsk to win the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time

Zenit (Kazan) volleyball players won the Russian Super Cup after a 3:1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21) victory against Lokomotiv (Novosibirsk) in the final in St. Petersburg.

Kazan dominated the first two sets, creating a lead with strong serving and high attacking efficiency. Mikhail Labinsky played a key role, distinguishing himself with a series of serves and an ace at the end of the first set. In the second set, Zenit achieved an impressive 70% attacking efficiency, and Maxim Mikhailov was the most prolific with an ace and a block.

Lokomotiv returned to the match in the third set, where Simeon Nikolov led the team with stable setting, and Novosibirsk capitalized on opponent errors. In the fourth set, however, Zenit once again asserted dominance at the net and closed the match after a successful block.

The trophy is the 11th in Zenit (Kazan)'s history, while Lokomotiv loses a Super Cup final for the fourth time – all against Kazan.
