The captain of the Bulgarian national volleyball team, Alex Grozdanov, once again found a place in the ideal team of the round in the Polish PlusLiga. The middle blocker ofBOGDANKA LUK Lublinwas honored after his strong performance in the dramatic away victory overCuprum Stilon Gorzów.
BOGDANKA LUK Lublin won with3:2 (23:25, 27:25, 20:25, 25:20, 15:12)after a five-set battle, in which Grozdanov played a key role both at the net and on block. The Bulgarian finished the match with11 points, being extremely effective in attack and stable in blocking (4 kill blocks) in the decisive moments.
With this success, the team from Lublin solidified its position in the upper half of the standings, and Grozdanov's performance did not go unnoticed by PlusLiga analysts, who included him inthe ideal team of the 13th round.
The organizers of the Polish championship announced the symbolic team of the round with their characteristic festive message that these players "deserve an additional gift from Santa Claus for their strong performance." Among the "best of the best" was once again the captain of Bulgaria – further proof of his high reputation in one of the strongest leagues in the world.
