Nikolay Ivanov and Cantù won the derby against Brescia

Kampi Reali Cantù dealt another blow to Consoli Sferc Brescia, winning the away derby 2:3 (23:25,25:18,25:22,17:25,9:15) in an Italian Serie A2 match.

The match saw significant fluctuations. Brescia took a 2:1 lead in sets, but in the decisive moments, Cantù showed more stability and aggression to secure a valuable success in the battle for survival. In the tie-break, the visitors took control from the very beginning and did not relinquish the initiative until the end.

Nikolay Ivanov participated in the first three sets, ending the match with 2 points and 1 block.

For Cantù, Peña was the top scorer with 28 points, while Meschiari and Candeli also made a key contribution. For Brescia, Cominetti and Cavuto were the most active in attack, but this was not enough to break their negative streak.

With this victory, Cantù solidified its upward trend, while Brescia continues its difficult period with a fourth consecutive loss. Cantù recorded only its second victory and with 5 points is last, four points behind 13th-placed Taranto.
