Maritsa with ninth consecutive and overall 11th Bulgarian Cup after a convincing final against Levski

Maritsa (Plovdiv) won the Bulgarian Women's Volleyball Cup for the ninth consecutive and 11th time overall, after defeating Levski Sofia 3:0 (25:20, 25:12, 25:21) in the final held at the Hristo Botev Hall in the capital. The Plovdiv team continued their complete dominance in the tournament, not having lost the trophy since 2016, when "the Blues" (Levski) last secured first place.

First set – 25:20

Maritsa started the match like champions, taking a 5:0 lead in the very first rallies, imposing a high tempo and demonstrating stability in serves and blocks. The difference was maintained throughout most of the set, and at 24:20, the Plovdiv team showed composure – two consecutive blocks and a finishing attack by Viktoria Koeva secured the win in the set.

Second set – 25:12

In the second set, Maritsa was even more decisive, achieving two long streaks of seven and eight consecutive points, which completely broke Levski's resistance. Excellent play in the middle and stable serving secured a comfortable lead, and again Viktoria Koeva ended the set after an organized attack on a set point following an Iva Dudova serve.

The third set was the most contested and evenly matched, with both teams going point for point until 20:20. In the decisive moments, Levski faltered in reception, allowing Maritsa to reach five match points; "the Blues" saved the first, but a block-out after an attack by Iva Dudova brought the winning point and the trophy for the Plovdiv team.
Borislava Saykova was chosen as the tournament's MVP.
