Maritsa qualified for the Bulgarian Cup final after a comeback win over CSKA.

The defending champions Maritsa (Plovdiv) qualified for the final of the efbet Bulgarian Cup for women after a comeback and a 3-1 victory (23:25, 25:15, 25:8, 25:15) over CPVC (Sofia). So, on Sunday, December 21, at 5:00 PM in the "Hristo Botev" hall, the efbet Bulgarian Cup final for women will be played, where Levski, who earlier eliminated CSKA after a dramatic 3-2 victory, will face the Plovdiv team.

The Plovdiv team had a shaky start and lost the first set, in which CPVC capitalized on their reception problems and closed the set 25:23. From the second set onwards, however, the champions significantly upped the tempo, exerted serious pressure with their serves, and stabilized their blocking.

In the second set, Maritsa quickly took control and equalized with a dominant 25:15, and in the third set, the "yellow-blues'" dominance was complete – 25:8. In the fourth set, the scenario repeated itself, with the Plovdiv team securing a comfortable lead early on and closing the match with another 25:15.

The top scorer for the winners was Vanessa Agbortabi with 16 points, Borislava Saykova added 14, while Victoria Koeva and Iva Dudova finished with 11 points each.
"It's not typical for us to start like this, but we won and we are in the final. We made individual mistakes, and perhaps our approach wasn't right. There was some underestimation, but it shook us up and we took the match. I expect us to show our best against Levski," said Maritsa's setter Lora Slavcheva for BNT.
