Halkbank (Ankara) recorded a routine 3:0 (25:14, 25:16, 25:15) away victory against RAMS Global Cizre BLD in a match from the 12th round of the Turkish Super League – men. The success came with a clear rotation in the squad and without the participation of the two Bulgarian internationals.
Matey Kaziyski was in the squad but did not play, while Tsvetan Sokolov was not even included in the team for the match. This did not affect the performance of the guests in any way, as they completely controlled all three sets.
Only two players for Halkbank surpassed the 10-point mark:
Brodie Hofer – 13 points (12 attack, 1 block), with 60% success rate in attack
Yunus Emre Tayaz – 10 points (5 attack, 3 aces, 2 blocks)
Hofer was the main offensive option and the most utilized attacker, while Tayaz made the difference with his serve and stable play at the net. The remaining points were distributed among several volleyball players, which is indicative of the collective nature of the success.
