Plamen Konstantinov remains in Lokomotiv Novosibirsk for two more seasons

Lokomotiv Novosibirsk renewed the contract of head coach Plamen Konstantinov. The new agreement is for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons. The Bulgarian specialist has been leading the team since 2016, and the current season is his tenth at the helm of the "railwaymen".

During this period, the club won three bronze medals, one silver, the Russian title in 2020, and the Russian Cup in 2025.

In a quick interview for the club's website, Konstantinov emphasized that the key to Lokomotiv's development is a long-term strategy for building its own players, rather than solely relying on ready-made additions. According to him, the work between the first team and the academy is a unified system that is already yielding results – young players are finding a place in the squad.

The coach also highlighted the excellent organization within the club, modern infrastructure, and strong support from the management, RZD (Russian Railways), and regional authorities. Konstantinov expressed satisfaction with the atmosphere in Novosibirsk and with the fans, who turn every match into a true volleyball spectacle, emphasizing that the team's goals and ambitions remain high for the next two seasons as well.
