Stable Alex Grozdanov in a dramatic success for Bogdanka in the "French family" derby

Bogdanka LUK Lublin achieved an extremely difficult, but valuable away victory against Cuprum Stilon Gorzow with a score of 2:3 (25:23, 25:27, 25:20, 20:25, 12:15) in a Polish PlusLiga match. The success came after a partial comeback and confirmed the excellent form of the team from Lublin, which took the lead in the temporary standings.

The match also had a strong emotional charge, as it turned into a kind of"French family derby"On the hosts' side were head coach Hubert Henno and his son Mathis Henno, while the guests' coach was French legend Stéphane Antiga, along with Hubert Henno's other son, Hilaire Henno.

The captain of the Bulgarian national team, Alex Grozdanov, played a solid match for the winners. The middle blocker finished with 11 points, a +7 efficiency rating, 4 blocks, and 43% attack success, being a key factor in decisive moments.

Outstanding in the match was Bogdanka's star Wilfredo Leon, who scored 26 points, including an ace to end the match in the tie-break. Opposite hitter Malinowski added 20 points, and his strong performance earned him the MVP award for the match.

For Cuprum, Neves was the top scorer with 21 points, but his efforts only brought one point for the standings.

An interesting detail was also the direct comparison between the two Henno brothers. Mathis Henno finished with 11 points and was more effective than his older brother Hilaire Henno, who scored 8 points but was substituted after the third set.

The 2:3 victory allowed Bogdanka to take maximum points from the away game and move to the top of the standings, albeit tied on points with Warta Zawiercie.
