For the first time an all-Italian final at the Women's Club World Championship

For the first time in the history of the Women's FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship, the final will be an all-Italian affair. In São Paulo (Brazil), Prosecco DOC Imoco Conegliano and Savino Del Bene Scandicci will compete for the trophy.

Conegliano, led by Daniele Santarelli, qualified for their fifth world final after defeating hosts Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde 3:1 (21:25, 25:23, 25:16, 25:16). The Italian team turned the match around after a hotly contested first two sets, taking control with stronger attack and solid defense. Gabi was the top scorer with 18 points, followed by Haak (14) and Zhu Ting (13), while Monica De Gennaro played a key role with crucial digs in defense.

In the other semifinal, Savino Del Bene Scandicci achieved a historic first qualification for the final after overcoming Brazil's Dentil Praia Clube 3:0 (25:23, 26:24, 25:19). Marco Gaspari's team showed composure in crucial moments, and Ekaterina Antropova led the team with 20 points.

The final between Conegliano and Scandicci will begin at 02:30 AM Bulgarian time in the early hours of Monday, determining the new Women's Club World Champion. For Conegliano, this is a chance for a fourth title, while for Scandicci, it's an opportunity for their first trophy at the highest global level.
