The websitevolleyballworld.comannounced that the Volleyball Nations League will return to Canada in 2026 with two tournaments – a women's tournament in Quebec and a men's tournament in Ottawa.
The women's tournament will take place fromJune 3 to 7in the arenaCentre Videotronin Quebec. Following the successful hosting of the men's tournament last year, the city will once again be the venue for VNL matches, this time featuring the strongest women's national teams in the world. The Canadian women's team currently ranks12th in the FIVB World Rankings, and the tournament is an important part of their preparation for future Olympic qualifiers.
In the second week of the competition, fromJune 10 to 14,TD Place Arenain Ottawa will host the men's tournament. Canada's capital has traditionally hosted Nations League matches since its inception in 2018. The Canadian men's national team occupies10th position in the FIVB World Rankings.
Canada's opponents in both tournaments will be announced at a later stage, but it is already clear that the country continues to solidify its place as a leading host of volleyball events in North America.
